Help youths work safely!

We will be hosting the 3rd train-the-trainer event for Safety Matters in Colorado Springs.  Safety Matters is a program to raise awareness among young people about workplace safety and health and to provide an understanding of the skills they need to become active participants in creating safe and healthy work environments.

The sessions will each last from 1:00 – 3:30 PM and held at Pikes Peak Library District Library 21c, Room B6.   Members from AIHA-RMS and ASSP-Southern Chapter will be there to learn the material and discuss opportunities to present in front of young workers.  The time commitment is minimal and the reward of influencing young workers on safe behaviors goes without saying.

What we are looking for in our trainers:

  •  The ability to work well with teens/ teen workers
  •  Past training experience
  •  Energy and enthusiasm
  •  Flexibility in scheduling
  •  Knowledge of the industries in the area where teens work
  •  The Ability to Measure and assess audience training needs
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  •  An engaging trainer seeking audience participation
  •  Able to provide classes in the desired geographic region
